This is absolutely fantastic! BUT - there's no way there'southward enough sauce to hande three layers of noodles. Information technology needs at least half again as much sauce if non twice the corporeality of sauce. I ended upwards adding a couple tablespoons of heavy foam between the layers and just used two layers of noodles. The season is amazing, though!!! I'll definitely be making this again.
04/28/2008
Very good and different from the norm. Made some changes to this one, I used all Mozz instead of cheddar, used around two jars of alfredo sauce, mixed in a can of diced tomatoes drained and a can of mushrooms drained to the ricotta mixture. YUMMY!
05/08/2004
Fantabulous, although you may need to add more than milk or foam to the sauce to keep the noodles moist enough. I as well added roasted ruby-red peppers, which were tasty.
x/23/2008
I used regular lasagna noodles and soaked them in hot h2o for about xv-20 minutes. I had cottage cheese (xvi oz.) so I used that instead of ricotta. This is really good with added fresh mushrooms (saute in a picayune butter, garlic & a pinch of salt). I also doubled the cheese on top. Great recipe! Thanks for sharing.
06/30/2011
Good, like another reviewer said, the jarred sauce in combination with the sausage was fairly salty. I did modify the recipe based on others' reviews. I used turkey Italian sausage. I likewise sauteed sliced push button and cremini mushrooms, minced garlic and mixed them with the sausage and alfredo sauce. Instead of extra jarred sauce, I used an equal corporeality of milk and 1 TB unsalted butter/flour roux. I also replaced the Cheddar with mozz and I used fresh spinach, wilted, squeezed of water and chopped, mixed in with the cheeses. I baked 35 min with the foil on, 10 min with the foil off to chocolate-brown the cheese on top. Because of the saltiness, I think next fourth dimension, I'll apply one/ii sausage 1/two footing beef or turkey. Also, I'll add together a little footing nutmeg to the alfredo...
02/21/2011
this is really yummy, I added a second jar of alfredo sauce and a lilliputian more than sausage considering I had some extra, and used about 5oz of fresh spinach.
04/01/2011
Wow! this was incredible! I can't say enough about the heavenly taste!. The cheese mixture did not cover evrything, merely cheese melts. I just tried to evenly distribute the mixture and information technology came out perfect. I followed the recipe except that I bought mushroom alfredo sauce. Yum! Adjacent time I may add some canned mushrooms. AMAZING season!!
04/06/2009
This is and then good! My Then and I both really don't like tomato sauce, so nosotros tried this! I cutting the sausage amount in half, added ane/2 pound of lean ground beef and 8 fresh spinach instead of the frozen. I doubled the amount of the Alfredo sauce. Adjacent time I will add a small amount of sauteed onion and garlic.
03/22/2011
Loved it!! Perfect for people who don't like/tin't eat tomato sauce. Crawly recipe!
08/09/2008
I'll give this 1 5 stars but I fabricated many modifications. I used a 9x9 pan simply DID Non half the recipe. I used 1/2 lb sausage and 1/2 lb ground turkey which i cooked with some fresh minced garlic (1-2 cloves) and some sliced onion too equally common salt, pepper, and some italian seasoning. I used a premade alfredo sauce (which was very salty) and added a clove of garlic to that. I totally forgot to thaw the spinach so i cooked it in the microwave and just added it to the meat mixture which was already put aside in a bowl. I as well omitted the cheddar and merely used a mixed italian cheese. Had no trouble with it drying out, recommend reserving some alfredo sauce for the elevation layer--merely plenty for a sparse layer. Nice job!
10/17/2010
Subsequently reading many reviews and because we like a very saucy lasagna, I used an extra can of alfredo sauce and 16 oz of thawed chopped frozen spinach. I as well used a 3-cheese blend for the cheese portion (instead of merely cheddar or mozzarella), but I call up you lot tin get with near any cheese you similar, and it would be fine. We used a local sausage that nosotros took out of its casing and sauteed. I likewise added 8 oz sauteed chopped mushrooms to the alfredo sauce and some extra seasonings (garlic powder, hot pepper flakes, Italian seasoning, etc.). I used the no-broil lasagna noodles - they are a godsend, very easy to utilize and taste merely equally good equally the precook ones. Overall, this was a Bang-up lasagna and made enough to feed 6 adults with leftover. Everyone raved about information technology; it's a keeper.
03/14/2011
I did add spices every bit I cooked and used ii jars of alfredo. I didn't accept enough of the ricotta mixture (made with mozzarella instead of cheddar) for iii layers.
11/19/2010
Then piece of cake and delicious. I used all mozzarella cheese and browned the sausage with some minced garlic. I concluded up using 1.v jars of Alfredo and baking for an hr. My very picky husband said it was best lasagna ever!
05/06/2008
My family really likes this. Try sauteeeing onions, garlic and fresh mushrooms and calculation to sausage, spinach and alfredo sauce misture. I usually double the alfredo sause. Brand it a mean solar day ahead. Add together extra milk/foam, if necessary. Picket the oven so information technology doesn't dry out.
12/17/2010
Added fresh garlic and seasoning to give it more flavor. Everyone asked for the recipe!
11/sixteen/2005
This was ok...I am not certain what overwhelmed me about it. I think I would skip the cheddar (and only use 1 cup equally suggested by others) and just exercise the mozzerella instead. I also added a minced clove of garlic to my sausage...yummy. This is for SURE a filling meal!!!
05/16/2010
This turned out slap-up! However it only needs three/4 pkg of a 9oz box of no-boil lasagna noodles, non 16oz like recipe said. I used a 14oz tube of veggie sausage to make it vegetarian. And I used a jar of the lord's day-stale tomato plant alfredo sauce. Very flavorful.. and my 8yr old loved it too (3 helpings!).
04/07/2010
I love cooking this... I'yard not a fan of red sauce due to the heartburn I go from the tomatoes so, this is perfect for me. My friends and I get together at least once a month for cook night and this is our favorite dish to cook together. I have made this at lease a half a dozen times and information technology's never failed me!
12/29/2009
This was great. Very different arroyo to lasagna, simply very skilful. All I can comment on is that this recipe doesnt seem to make enough white sauce to make full the entire lasagna- i got to the second layer and was already running out. I volition definately double it next time. If you employ spicy italian sausage and add some seasoning to the white mixture (parsley, garlic common salt, nutmeg, and oregano) this tastes awesome!
06/05/2007
This was a GREAT recipe! I've made it a few times now and everyone e'er over eats! Then simple to brand every bit well. Cheers and then much!
08/05/2009
This was very good...I added portabellas and next time I call up I am going to cook the noodles instead of no boils. I also will utilize a little more than sauce than what is chosen for. Other than that this was a fabled recipe.
08/10/2013
This recipe was crawly!!! My husband said this is a keeper and that I demand to make this again before long. I made this with a jar of mushroom Alfredo and Garlic Alfredo. I also used mild Italian sausage. For the last 20 minutes I let it bake uncovered so that the cheese volition brown. I was really surprised at just how amazing this really was!
09/29/2009
This was succulent!!A existent hit in my house. This is a great bones recipe for spinach alfredo lasagna. I remember the adjacent fourth dimension I make this I may even use chicken for a different kick. I followed the recipe almost to the t... except I sauteed fresh mushrooms and onions and garlic and so added to my jarred Alfredo sauce with fresh spinach not frozen..... I likewise used 2 jars of the Alfredo sauce I used ragu parmesan lite I think.... I had in the closet....I too added a chip of white vino to my sauce and i can diced tomatoes. I used role skim ricotta and mixed with mozzarella and sharp cheese and parmesan cheeses. I also used reg lasagna noodles as I didn't accept plenty left of the no boil lasagna. I made enough to fill a foil lasagna pan (deep) and I made information technology yesterday and there is about 2 squares left!!! usually I accept a lot more than left over when I make my regualar lasgna!! I too used a garlic cheese sausage that I get from my local butcher. This is a keeper and volition get in my reg rotation of recipes... thanx Jobarbara for posting!!
03/11/2013
Super alter of pace. Really skillful flavor. I know that I dear sausage and others in my family unit like craven. So half was with the sausage and the other one-half was cutting up grilled chicken chest. Both were first-class. Instead of the jar of alfredo, I used the allrecipes "Quick and Easy Alfredo recipe". Both recipes make a super recipe. Thanks for a great meal.
09/06/2011
Great combination of ingredients and easy to put together!
12/12/2009
I make information technology without the sausage and it is e'er a big hit!
03/29/2015
Husband raved about this this night after his initial sniff about not-traditional lasagne. I doubled the meat using 2 lbs of spicy italian sausage, doubled the spinach, doubled the alfredo sauce as well calculation some other equal jar of milk. I as well added i tbls of minced garlic to the meat mixture. Otherwise made this as directed. It was a trivial dicey having enough sauce to do all iii layers just I managed and this came out very tasty. Enough for two meals and possibly ane luncheon purse portion. Thank you for sharing this, I'll be making this frequently.
03/12/2014
Perfect. A family favorite. Definitely very cheesy and then be prepared if you're lactose intolerant. Just definitely going to make this again.
05/thirteen/2014
And so I made this recipe tonight, and equally always I read through the reviews beginning, then I used two jars of Alfredo, I besides used fresh spinach, I added sliced mushrooms and artichoke hearts to the sauce. I used a motz parm cheese mix and topped with diced tomatoes. DELISH!!! Volition definitely make again!!!
11/06/2009
Loved the recipe... Really neat flavor. I'thousand not sure if the corporeality of no boil lasagne was a typo.... I made a 9x13 pan consisting of 3 layers and only needed slightly less than an eight oz packet of pasta instead of 16 oz. I was afraid that the cheddar might come out too stringy and then I used Monterey Jack instead. I cooked my sausage with some onions and crushed garlic. I doubled the Alfredo sauce and added artichoke hearts. Might add together some sun dried tomatos adjacent time. Will definately make once more
02/26/2015
Fantabulous! My husband and I ate half the pan!
12/21/2014
easy and tasty
12/15/2014
This was actually good, the only thing I would change is to add together more spinach merely that's probably personal stance. I made my own Alfredo sauce too, which fabricated it soo good.
06/29/2009
Loved this dish! I didn't make any changes except adding a little oregano on superlative. Could accept used some actress sauce though. I volition definitely brand this lasagna over again!
08/09/2006
Seems like it needs more sauce. I should have probably tried adding milk or cream every bit suggested. Okay, but didn't wow me.
02/28/2012
I used 2 jars of sauce (1/2 wasn't added to the mixture, just used on the sides to cover the noodles). This was fantastic and the leftovers were even ameliorate!
01/12/2012
Fantastic! I used homemade alfredo sauce and added some sun dried tomotoes. Also used fresh spinach rather than frozen and only threw information technology into the sauce. This was awesome!! Add more garlic! :)
01/12/2014
My married man and I actually enjoyed this meal. He is not a big fan of ricotta cheese so I just did ane layer of that mixture. I might endeavour to use all mozzarella next time instead of cheddar. I call back this meal has potential for MANY variations! Excited to try it again, add and modify a few ingredients! Thank you for the recipe!
12/30/2013
Super delicious!!! I agree with other reviewers that the originally recipe doesn't brand plenty sauce. The second fourth dimension I fabricated this I added a second jar of Alfredo sauce, and used another pound of sausage and it was MUCH improve. I also used a 10oz bag of fresh spinach and sautéed it in some garlic and then added information technology to the alfredo/sausage mixture. Super tasty!
04/xviii/2005
Way likewise cheesey! I would definatly cut the ched cheese to merely 1 loving cup. The alfredo sauce with the spinach and sausage had a overnice flavor-may try that over pasta.
07/23/2004
My sis and I make this for our friends whenever we desire to impress--and it always turns out delicious!
11/13/2012
This was a Total CROWD PLEASER. I used ii jars of alfredo sauce and an undrained tin can of diced tomatoes with sweet onions, and it turned out keen. Smashing brand-alee pick for special dinner and information technology was VERY filling and so there were lots of leftovers. YUM!!!
06/12/2010
This turned out not bad! I did equally other reviewers recommended and used mozzarella in identify of the cheddar cheese, and added an extra half jar of alfredo sauce. I had several ask for the recipe.
06/28/2009
Season is good, but definitely needs actress sauce. I made it equally written, except for the addition of fresh sauteed mushrooms & I soaked my oven-prepare noodles in hot water for xx mins ahead of time. The noodles were done, just overall it was much too dry - especially the acme. We nonetheless enjoyed it with bottled marinara on top to moisten (didn't have whatsoever more alfredo), merely I would double the alfredo and add together actress cheese. A layer of sauce for the top would be better, too.
07/31/2006
easy and my family loves it.
01/25/2009
Corking tasting recipe for an alternative to traditional tomatoe sauce based lasagne! My husband dosn't similar tomatoe sauce, so I am always looking for a good white sauce recipe. The just reason I give 4 instead of five stars is because of the no broil noodles. I have made this reciped twice and it was great both times and my family loved it. The outset time I used the no bake noodles, and they came out tough and hard to swallow! They weren't soft like regular lasagne noodles subsequently cooking. Couldn't even hardly pause them with a fork. So I made it again with regular lasagne noodles. Cooked them per package direction and so added them to the reciped. I as well sauted some onions and fresh mushrooms into the sausage when information technology was partially cooked through and this just added to the great flavorful recipe. Using regular noodles vs the no bake makes this a 5 star recipe!
05/10/2009
Being an amateur melt and all, I couldn't believe I pulled this off! I used one/2 lean ground meat and 1/2 hot sausage, added mushrooms and onions to the meat while cooking, cut the cheddar cheeese to near a cup, and added one-half a can of diced tomatoes with garlic to the cheese mixture. I also used cottage instead of ricotta cheese and waited 'till last 15 mins. to add the mozz. on top. It was ready in merely an hr, too. I highly recommend the diced tomatoes, I wish I would've put the whole tin in. If I tin can brand it, anyone can. Don't forget to season the meat well when cooking!
09/07/2009
very skilful added mushrooms and onions to the mix and used fresh spinach like other reviewers suggested. My husband is very picky almost his lasagna comming from an itilian family and he said it was smashing defiently a keeper
10/22/2008
I've been making a recipe just like this for years! I remember it goes well as a brunch lasagna due to the sausage and cheddar cheese. :)
07/10/2005
This recipe is very skillful! I did cutting back on the cheddar cheese and use an italian blend instead and I added garlic and some italian spices to the ricotta mixture to spice it up. Very skilful! This recipe is great cut in half.
05/10/2016
Equally mentioned earlier, there wasn't enough sauce for iii layers, but it however turned out good with a little extra mozzarella.
08/xix/2018
Didn't Utilize The cheddar cheese I used a 7 Italian cheese My Married man Loves Information technology
05/21/2009
Pretty adept! Makes a lot and was hard to fit all the noodles in and however fit in a 9 x 13 dish. I did substitute the Italian mixed cheese for the cheddar. Cheddar just doesn't seem to fit right with Italian nutrient. As well used a jar & 1/ii of Classico Roasted Garlic Alfredo Sauce. Will probably make again sometime, but pretty loftier in fatty and calories to eat very often.
01/15/2007
This was good. I did soak the oven ready noodles in hot water for half an 60 minutes, used only 2 cups of an Italian cheese blend (1c. mixed with the cottage cheese instead of ricotta mixture, 1c for the top), added milk to the sausage/spinach/alfredo mixture, and when it was all assembled, I poured a petty more than milk effectually the outside. It held together perfectly, the noodles were washed, and the taste was wonderful!
08/xx/2008
The only matter I did differently was to utilise fresh spinach. I likewise threw in some diced onion as I was browning the sausage. This was skilful just not quite as good as regular beef/marinara lasagna. Thanks!
11/25/2018
Just added more cheddar cheese! Wonderful dish!
03/19/2020
This turned out to be the best lasagna I've fabricated! I used sweetness sausage, doubled the spinach, and used an Italian blend cheese instead of cheddar. And there'south no style to make lasagna without fresh garlic! I concord it could utilize a petty more Alfredo sauce but it'due south still fabled!!
ten/xx/2018
I take made this dish a few times, very good. Like the other reviewers said information technology definitely needed two jars of Alfredo sauce and I added minced garlic and used cottage cheese in place of ricotta, and only mozzarella, no cheddar. Delicious!
10/01/2012
I added onions, mushrooms, and a cup more sauce. This recipe was so succulent, my grandson (who hates spinach) took two boosted servings!
ten/25/2019
Overall it was very good! Instead of sausage I used chicken and shrimp. Side by side time I volition add more spices to make upwards for the sausage's flavor
08/23/2012
Fifty-fifty our 3 year old liked information technology - used Ragu alfredo with garlic and parmesan sauce. Changes - I added 3/iv cup chicken goop to the sauce, substituted italian sugariness sausage, and used sliced cheddar on pinnacle instead of mixed in with the other cheeses.
04/17/2015
This was a succulent hitting with anybody! I added a tin can of extra sauce, like so many reviewers suggested. I loved the spiciness in this, it was just right. I will salve and make this many times.
01/17/2018
We volition definitely make this once again. Nosotros did alter the recipe a couple of different ways. We added a pound of lean hamburger. We besides used fresh spinach. Beware, when you measure 10 oz. of spinach that looks like a lot of spinach. But as you cook it through with the meat and alfredo sauce it does go to what it should be. I did remove the stems on the spinach and done it thoroughly. And shook it dry. Every bit some other person said with three layers of noodles it does need more liquid. Nosotros used two jars of alfredo sauce and it still was slightly dry. Side by side time we will utilise three. Nosotros likewise like our cheese. So the cheddar I used about half again as much and we put the mozzarella on all three layers. Because nosotros added the extra hamburger and sauce nosotros went to a larger pan instead of the 9x13. We also "tented" the foil when we put it in the oven to keep it more moist and that did piece of work.
eleven/28/2015
This lasagna sounded like a good healthier alternative for someone who doesn't like ricotta! I used fresh homemade whole wheat pasta, and fresh spinach. However, as others said, the Alfredo with cheese and sausage was only besides salty. If I were to make this again, I would probably simply utilize blood-red sauce, and light light cheese.
01/10/2016
Delicious. I added an boosted jar of Alfredo sauce and 15 ounce can of diced tomatoes. The sweetness of tomatoes complimented the savory sausage and cheese very well.
10/08/2007
I made this for my parents, and it is now my mom's favorite dish! I usually substitute reduced-fat varieties of the cheese and sauce, but the dish still turns out great. I also recommend the minced garlic.
xi/05/2016
My family unit loved it. I added mushrooms and used fresh mushrooms.
02/04/2016
I made it just as the recipe directed. It was splendid merely was missing a few affair for my taste. Adjacent fourth dimension I plan to sauté onions, garlic and mushrooms to add to the spinach mixture.
06/07/2020
Absolutely delicious! My family loved this! It is very rich, but and so good! I added mushrooms to it which was yummy. Very easy and would be corking for a potluck, family dinner, or a dinner political party.
10/ten/2008
This was an okay dish, had to much of a texture event with the ricotta cheese information technology really stood out. dear alfredo simply adopt on regular pasta and red sauce for lasgna
05/04/2016
This is succulent. But you do need two jars of sauce. My husband loves it. I look forward to more recipes from you!!!!!
06/07/2015
Great recipe. I did office footing beefiness/ part sausage and sautéed onion, shallot and garlic with the meat. Agree that the recipe needs more sauce than called for. I also prefer for the bottom layer to start with noodles. The jar sauce is salty so no need for extra common salt. I also added ratatouille seasoning and spooned vodka sauce on the pinnacle layer. Delish!
08/24/2019
Swell dish but information technology needs more sauce. I added more Alfredo sauce only I still concluded upwardly short on the layers. I had to top the last noodles with just mozzarella.
10/16/2007
My son doesn't similar ruby-red sauce so I made this lasagna as an alternative for him. I actually adopt it! I add lots of shredded veggies (carrots, zucchini, whatever I have on manus). It'southward terrific!
01/14/2007
Prep fourth dimension of 15 minutes was pretty optimistic but the result was succulent.
06/12/2006
This was fabulous! Bang-up for those that don't care for red sauce!
12/19/2016
Based on others feedback, I doubled the alfredo sauce. It turned out actually well but I retrieve next fourth dimension I'll substitute 1/2 the corporeality of cheddar with mozzarella. I like the stringy-ness!
x/22/2017
Added a few extra veggies to mine. Otherwise a hit with my family!
10/18/2020
I used the regular eddy pasta noodles - I have no experience with using the no bake pasta. I replaced the cheddar with mozzarella and I had to double the cheese mix because information technology but wasn't plenty. I did 24 servings in my big glass baking dish and this turned out AMAZING! My family LOVES this!
08/18/2012
My first time making any kind of lasagna. Information technology turned out wonderful. My 12 y-o picky eater ate three helpings. Leftover were demolished by tiffin the next day. I used regular sausage and I think sliced or chopped mushroom would exist a yummy addition. I'll definitely be making this again.
04/24/2007
This was slap-up. I followed the recipe exactly and it turned out perfectly. Delicious leftovers, besides!
07/08/2016
My family loved it! I used mild Italian sausage and cottage cheese instead of ricotta since I forgot to buy it. Definitely actress Alfredo every bit others mentioned....I used two jars. My son said to keep this recipe in the rotation!
09/24/2008
Swell recipe! I did not take lasagna noodles, so I cooked three (dry) cups of macaroni and layered. I also used cottage cheese instead of ricotta. I baked about 35 minutes. Even my picky eater loved this and went back for seconds!
12/17/2017
The basic recipe is very good, but I did also as others accept said fabricated some tweaks. I know it annoys some people, reviewing a recipe when you've inverse it. But similar I said, the basic recipe is succulent. The things I changed, I used a 9 x 9 pan, personal preference I don't like ricotta and so I used cottage cheese, mozzarella instead of cheddar. Finally the first time I made it it was as well salty, so the second time I added milk and to the Alfredo
07/x/2016
This was absolutely amazing! I realize that some people may not like a very saucy pasta dish, but my husband and I really do and then I just added nigh 3/4 of another jar of alfredo-it was only right. We cannot stand ricotta then I subbed out a sour cream part cream cheese mixture with egg and cheddar cheese along with some parm. Information technology works perfectly for this dish. My husband ate two huge slices of lasagna and it was even improve for left overs today. This was such a not bad recipe and I thanks for sharing with us!!
