Super easy to make Beef Cabbage Soup recipe is slow simmered with tender bites of beefiness and juicy cabbage. Hearty and comforting.

  • 2 lbs beef brisket, cut into bite sized pieces
  • ane tbsp olive oil
  • 1 cup diced onion
  • 2 celery stalks, chopped
  • ane cup chopped carrot
  • 3 tbsp tomato paste
  • one tbsp italian seasoning
  • one caput cabbage, cored and chopped
  • four cups beef stock
  • 1 tbsp worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tbsp balsamic vinegar
  • i/4 cup dark-brown sugar
  • one bay leaf
  • kosher common salt and fresh basis pepper
  • Season the brisket liberally with salt and pepper.

  • Estrus the oil in a large dutch oven over medium/high heat. Add together the brisket to the pot and brownish on all sides, working in batches if necessary. Do not crowd the pan.

  • Using a slotted spoon, transfer the browned beef to a platter or plate.
