Bloodstained Curse of the Moon Can I Quit and Continue
Same. The dragon gave me some trouble until I figured out our titular whip girl takes care of it pretty well, but that dude on the pirate ship, even with the rare spell I kept dying any time he whirlwinded me off the edge. Never quite figured out how to get around that.

Are the ladies lining up outside your room?
I'm having fun but its past 2am here and I got to get up for work at 7am tomorrow.. or today rather. blah. I would have quit after stage 3 or something but I wasn't sure how to save, and after the lightning ship boss thing I saw it say 'game save' and I was like oh, ok I can quit.

Just fingered one with my power glove. Jealous noob?
Starting the first stage of the second campaign.
I doesn't mean to be condescending but the game is a lot easier than say CV3, i'm at stage 8 and didn't break a sweat. Only tricky part i found is the instakill painting but even then just be quick and it's done.

I'm pretty happy.
Finished it in about 2 hours on Retro difficulty. I honestly wasn't expecting to beat it on that difficulty, and I definitely screwed up a LOT and played terribly, but while there are some things it does that actually make it harder than classic Castlevania (like bosses not having a health bar) there are a few things even on that mode it does that make it easier than the old games.
Also, once you reach the last boss It's pretty much impossible to game over unless you deliberately do it, since there is a 1Up right before her that respawns when all your characters die

Uh-huh. And that hidden profile is the best proof u have of such valor?
On topic though:

I would actually be turned off from this game if it is around 3's difficulty. I mean I don't mind the challenge, heck I've beaten the second hard quest of CV, but sometimes I am not the best at these kinds of platformer actions. Would you say the game's difficulty stands about right as the first CV?

To be honest i think it's even easier than CV, i'm a scrub usually at these type of games and here i breeze trough it, knockback and all.

Crouch. The normal wind will still push you slowly to the right so you need to destroy lightning rods or you will get pushed into them.
Finished it without too much difficulty...
[Incoming Boss Spoilers]
1st Boss- You should be able to finish him without really taking a hit.
2nd Boss- If you played MM10 and fought Pump Man, it's not that bad...
3rd Boss- Treasure Knight on Steriods
4th Boss- A tad bit disappointing after the fact....
5th Boss- The real trick is to see where that bastard goes. Right Side is a giga attack, Left Side is whirlwind and the spikes needs to be gotten rid off before you can truly deal. I found it funny that Gebel was semi useful here.
6th Boss- Gebel for the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ win again....
7th Boss- I think Inti gave up because this boss was laughably easy.
Final Boss- Alfred owns part one, Zangetsu rules part two... NUFF said.
After fighting boat boss (where are the names?) four or five times.
(thanks for the tip on him BTW Raziel)
I always seem to end up far to the right and get blown off when that whirlwind starts, tried to use M-something (the girl) to slide under and stay on, but slid the wrong way. :P It might be more interesting if the winds shifted and you had to fight against it coming each way.
But overall the difficulty is definitely pretty low, I don't think it needs an easy option at all. You have four characters (eventually) and only lose a life when all are defeated. Still really fun though, and the music is absolutely fantastic.
